What is EUREX? EUREX is an innovative online seminar on processes of social transformation and social exclusion impacting on European cities and metropolitan areas. The seminar addresses crucial issues on a comparative perspective and it bases its interaction process on IC technologies allowing a cross-country dissemination of recent theoretical and empirical findings. Social exclusion is becoming increasingly crucial because the ongoing socio-economic and socio-demographic transformation processes are producing new risks of impoverishment and vulnerability, particularly at the local urban level. Even though these new risks have similar characteristics, the specificity of local systems is particularly relevant in determining their varying impact.
